Do you think. . .

curling is really a sport? Curling is very popular in Canada, but I wondered what any of you thought. I just can't feel the excitement.
Any comments?

    Curling is an Olympic sport that looks like shuffleboard on ice with brooms. It's on tv here all the time. It has all the drama of watching bowling on tv or C-span. smile

    I actually saw an explanation of it which helped to see it as a sport. Kind of like horseshoes only on ice. =) Okay that was my limited understanding. There are a lot of Olympic events that I do not think of as sports....but who am I?

    Here curling is usaly showed around 12:00.....I can not make heads or tails of it! how does sweeping the ice make the over grown pucks go any faster or slower? It seems like a pretty lame sport to me.In fact I think a lady 5 months pregnant is competing in curling.
